Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 11 June 1987. Wright talks of her early life in Woodville, Mississippi, of family relationships, and of the impact of her father's death on her. She tells of her courtship and marriage, and about members of her husband's family who joined the Mormon Church. She discusses her husband's conversion to that Church, her decision also to join, and comments on her experiences as a Mormon.
